Cameron Heyward is probably the number 2 best 3-4 end in this class behind Marcell Dareus. Some would argue that Adrian Clayborn is, but given his past troubles and we know that Josh Mcdaniels wants good character on his team. They might regret passing on Clayborn, but Heyward is a great pick.

I don't have a QB here. I am going with a similar pick from last year. I had Dez Bryant going to the Jags. Sims-Walker is a Robin not a Batman. He needs a partner who is just a little better.
2nd round pick - Christian Ponder, QB, Seminoles

Pick:

going to the

|
OT from
The Chiefs have issues in two very key areas, quarterback and offensive line. Matt
Cassel has shown ability at New England so I would not give up on him
yet, surround him with better O-line and weapons and he should become
viable.

OT from
Lions fans will NEVER agree to a OT in the 1st round. That's why there fans and not owners. The smart pick is OT. I think if they picked 5-10 last year....they would have picked one. Guess what? They do this year. Sorry Lions fans. Stafford will be a waste if you don't.
Other possible pick: Prince Amukamara

CB from
Even if it was only preseason i liked Whitehurst enough to let him learn under Hasselbeck and then have a chance to play. Peterson is the best CB to me (i assume J.Jenkins won't declare) and he would help them a lot.
2nd round : Jeremy Beal, DE, Oklahoma

Looks like Leinart is on his way out and I'm sure that Arizona doesn't believe that Anderson is the future. So they go with Luck here. He doesn't even have to change team names in the scenario.
2nd Rnd Demarcus Love OT Arknansas They add depth to a O-line that is gonna need to protect their young QB.

They need help along the line. Albert's is not a LT and would be better on the right side or at gruard.

I still can't believe that the Bucs didn't help out their defensive end position. Romeus would help them out a lot there. (2nd round
Jason Pinkston)

Pick:
8
going to the
Bears

|
|
WR from
The Bears and Jay Cutler also badly need a true number one receiver.Cutler has one of the best arms in the NFL and his current number one target is a return specialist.Baldwin has all the tools to be a number one wideout and with Cutler throwing to him his chances of being an instant impact are even greater. But if Matt Forte doesn't step up this year they may decide to go with a RB like Mark Ingram.

Pick:

QB from
Matt Leinart has been benched recently and I wouldn't count on Derek Anderson to carry the load all that well. Ponder is a reach here at #8, but the Cards are desperate enough for a replacement.

Pick:
8
going to the
Patriots

|
|
CB from
This is almost unfair. This pick was acquired in the Richard Seymour deal with Oakland. The Patriots need CB help and Patrick Peterson is a freak of nature. This guy is athletic, has good ball skills, and has decent size to match up with AFC East receivers such as Brandon Marshall, Lee Evans, and Santonio Holmes. This is a great addition to a defense on the rise.

I bet they'll keep Cassell at least one more year as their QB, Baldwin would help them a lot.

Round:

Pick:
8
going to the
Patriots

|
|
RB from
Raiders pick: The Raiders have made plenty of improvements and could get to 8-8. This low pick is tough to give. I think the O-line is still shaky and the defense is in a potential 34 transition. Even if they succeed, I will guess the Pats do the opposite of their usual, and trade up for Ingram.
The Pats love value, and though RBs aren't often in the top 10, Ingram looks like an Emmitt Smith clone. With the league becoming pass-heavy and adjusting as such, the Pats go the other way. Cold during the playoffs? What a coincidence? We want to jam the ball down your throat. They won a SB with Corey Dillon, but not with Randy Moss. This is a smart pick.
Not to mention, their other needs: WR and DE, are deep in this class. The value team gets a star RB, and will fill their other needs with other picks.
