Rankings: 2.1 avg per 20 votes.

1st and 2nd rounds complete. disregard the terrible rating. I fixed the problem, i hadn't realized i used the default 2nd rounds.

Round
1. Rams
team
Pick Breakdown...
Jimmy Clausen
QB from Notre Dame
New regimes mean new QBs, even though Suh is the best player on the board. This may change if they get a QB in free agency. For those of you who don't realize how good Clausen is, read Matt McGuire's draft blog on Jimmy Clausen. His junior stats are MUCH better than the junior stats of Roethlisberger, both Mannings, Philip Rivers, Matthew Stafford, and Matt Ryan. He is easily worthy of the #1 pick. While Suh is a better prospect, Clausen gets the nod with more positional value. Every year the Rams don't have a QB is a year where they can't be competitive.

2. Lions
team
Pick Breakdown...
Ndamukong Suh
DT from Nebraska
Best player available. OT is more of a need, but they can't pass up on the best DT prospect to come along in a long time. The Lions need a tackle like Russell Okung but theres no way they can pass up on the best player in the draft.

3. Buccaneers
team
Pick Breakdown...
Gerald McCoy
DT from Oklahoma
Tampa Bay will definitely take Suh or McCoy if either are available. Albert Haynesworth said that the Buccaneers offered him more money than the Redskins, which shows that the Bucs are serious about getting a DT.

4. Redskins
team
Pick Breakdown...
Sam Bradford
QB from Oklahoma
Although a tackle like Okung would make more sense, It is believed that Mike Shanahan will seriously consider drafting Bradford because he doesn't think Campbell is the answer. They should seriously consider taking Eric Berry as well.

5. Chiefs
team
Pick Breakdown...
Russell Okung
OT from Oklahoma State
This pick will be either Eric Berry or Russell Okung. The evidence for Berry: He's a once in a decade type safety who will really add a playmaking force to the Chiefs secondary. Once Jamaal Charles took over for LJ the Chiefs allowed FAR less sacks and had a very, very strong running game. For Okung: The Chiefs offensive line is shaky and drafting Okung would allow them to move Brandon Albert over to Guard or RT. Okung is better positional value, and if Pioli's move drafting Tyson Jackson over Aaron Curry tells us anything, Pioli favors positional value above all else. For now, I'm taking the positional value.

6. Seahawks
team
Pick Breakdown...
Eric Berry
SS / FS from Tennessee
The Seahawks really need an OT, but I don't think they can pass up on the best safety prospect to come along in almost a decade.

7. Browns
team
Pick Breakdown...
Joe Haden
CB from Florida
If the Browns see Derrick Morgan as a 4-3 DE then they will take Haden, if they see him as a 3-4 rush LB then they'll take D. Morgan. I think Morgan is more of a 4-3 DE, so i'm going with Joe Haden who would be a great fit in Cleveland's secondary.

8. Raiders
team
Pick Breakdown...
Bruce Campbell
OT from Maryland
To me its Bruce Campbell, Joe Haden, or Rolando McClain. Bruce Campbell would really help the offensive line and is better value than Haden. If any of the Raiders' linebacker free agent leave in the offseason, Rolando McClain could force their hand. For now, I'll lean towards the value of Bruce Campbell.

9. Bills
team
Pick Breakdown...
Anthony Davis
OT from Rutgers
The Bills are forced to take the best available OT. They could also like Rolando McClain or Derrick Morgan. Davis would be a huge help to the Bills line.

10. Jaguars
team
Pick Breakdown...
Derrick Morgan
DE from Georgia Tech
As the Tim Tebow debate rages on, i shall head in another direction and take the value of Derrick Morgan, who is great value at the Jaguars biggest need. Also, however unbelievable it is, David Garrard is in the pro bowl.

11. Broncos
team
Pick Breakdown...
Dez Bryant
WR from Oklahoma State
The Broncos would love to take Dan Williams, but if the Broncos trade Brandon Marshall (which it looks like they will), the Broncos may opt for the highest rated receiver in the draft, Dez Bryaant.

12. Dolphins
team
Pick Breakdown...
Dan Williams
DT from Tennessee
Luckily for the Dolphins, both Earl Thomas and Dan Williams are available. After going secondary back to back 1st and 2nd last year, the 'Phins should go another direction toward replacing Jason Ferguson.

13. 49ers
team
Pick Breakdown...
Bryan Bulaga
OT from Iowa
Personally, I think Rolando McClain is better value, but ILBs have a dendency to fall in the 1st round and OTs are much great in positional value. Mike Singletary would love to have a bruiser like Bulaga.

14. Seahawks
team
Pick Breakdown...
Charles Brown
OT from USC
Ultimately, I think the Seahawks will try to move down to grab Charles Brown, who is the perfect fit for their zone-blocking scheme. But for now, i'll just give them Charles Brown here.

15. Giants
team
Pick Breakdown...
Earl Thomas
/ SS from Texas
Kenny Philips' future in the NFL is in question, and the Giants have nobody else of starting capabilities. Luckily, Earl Thomas is available at this juncture.

16. Titans
team
Pick Breakdown...
Jason Pierre-Paul
from South Florida
This pick will be the best DE or CB available. There are no other options. Pierre-Paul is a boom or bust pick, but I think the Titans will see a bit of Jevon Kearse in Jason Pierre-Paul.

17. 49ers
team
Pick Breakdown...
C.J. Spiller
RB from Clemson
The 49ers may not have a huge need for a RB, but Spiller is the best player on the board. With the success of Chris Johnson, the ability to have a back that can take it to the house at any point is well worth a 1st round pick.

18. Steelers
team
Pick Breakdown...
Donovan Warren
CB from Michigan
The Steelers could like C.J. Spiller, but they just drafted Mendenhall in the 1st round 2 years ago. The Steelers secondary has been picked apart since Troy polamalu left with an injury. Donovan Warren would be a great help across from Ike Taylor.

19. Falcons
team
Pick Breakdown...
Sean Weatherspoon
OLB from Missouri
The Falcons really need a CB, but none are worth taking here. Their next greatest need is OLB. Weatherspoon is great against the pass, but not quite as good against the run.

20. Texans
team
Pick Breakdown...
Brian Price
DT from UCLA
The Texans could use a safety, CB, or even WR if Kevin Walter leaves in the offseason. But they are weak against the run, and don't have any good DTs. Brian Price is the 3rd best DT in the draft, and would really help the Texans defense.

21. Bengals
team
Pick Breakdown...
Arrelious Benn
WR from Illinois
The Bengals offense has been anemic ever since his injury(before his tragic dealth). They need a WR to help OchoCinco and give a boost to this offense. It could be Golden Tate, Brandon LaFell, or Arrelious Benn, who knows? In actuallity, Damian Williams is the best WR on the board, but his skill set is so close to Ochocinco's that they will likely go in another direction.

22. Patriots
team
Pick Breakdown...
Jermaine Gresham
TE from Oklahoma
The Patriots defense is god awful. But Bill Belicheck has never used a 1st round pick on a rush linebacker. I do not advocate taking a TE in the 1st round, but if Ben Watson leaves, the Patriots may opt to go with Gresham, who is easily the best TE in the draft.

23. Packers
team
Pick Breakdown...
Bryan Bulaga
OT from Iowa
There is no way Bulaga will fall this far but if he's available, I don't think the Packers could pass on him.

24. Eagles
team
Pick Breakdown...
Carlos Dunlap
DE from Florida
Andy Reid loves lineman, and Dunlap's character concerns won't scare him away ( signing Michael Vick tells you everything you need to know). Victor Abiamiri needs to be replaced.

25. Ravens
team
Pick Breakdown...
Damian Williams
WR from USC
The Ravens need a reciver even if Derrick Mason doesn't retire. Damian Williams is tremendous value. Just like Derrick Mason, his route-running his impecable.

26. Cardinals
team
Pick Breakdown...
Jerry Hughes
OLB from TCU
Neither Okeafor or Karlos Dansby are expected to be back next year, which makes finding a linebacker the #1 priority.

27. Cowboys
team
Pick Breakdown...
Mike Iupati
OG from Idaho
Iupati, who has been the best player at the senior bowl, would be a huge help to the Cowboys, who are rumored to be enamored with Iupati. he is the best interior lineman in the draft, but he really struggled against Dan Williams

28. Chargers
team
Pick Breakdown...
Brandon LaFell
WR from LSU
Vincent Jackson is a great receiver, but defenses are simply keying in on him. The Chargers need another receiver who can take some of the coverage away from Vincent Jackson.

29. Jets
team
Pick Breakdown...
Jared Odrick
DT from Penn State
Odrick would fill the Jets need for a 3-4 DE. He's got the talent, just some minor character concerns.

30. Vikings
team
Pick Breakdown...
Brandon Ghee
CB from Wake Forest
Ghee's play during senior bowl week has earned him a 1st round grade. With Cedric Griffen tearing his ACL, and Antoine Winfield being shaky in coverage, grabbing a CB like Ghee would be a great benefit to the Vikings

31. Saints
team
Pick Breakdown...
Everson Griffen
DE from USC
Griffen is one of the best players on the board and would be a solid addition to the Saints defense.

32. Colts
team
Pick Breakdown...
Brandon Graham
DE from Michigan
Brandon Graham was the best player in the senior bowl and has really turned around his draft stock. Colts could use a DE to build behind Freeney and Mathis.

I just can't see the Chiefs drafting another defensive lineman.

Nice update. And I don't think either plays nose tackle.

12/19/09
Panthers don't have a first-round pick
kj197728
01/12/10
You need to remove Marvin Austin, Deunta Williams, Cameron Heyward, and Ras-I Dowling. They have all said within the last two weeks that they are finishing their senior year at school.

yea, i know. disregard the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

I'm beginning to fill out the 2nd round.

2nd round complete. 3rd round just has players I think will be picked in the 3rd.
Tennesseefan10s
12/29/09
I didn't mean to put a 2nd or 3rd round on this draft. i didn't realize i even had a 2nd and 3rd. those are just Walt's original picks. disregard the 2nd and 3rd rounds
Tennesseefan10s
12/29/09
and yea, i was redoing the mock, and some players were in the draft twice in the middle of my editing.
Tennesseefan10s
11/21/09
No, i don't either. There are only 2 DTs are good value, and no DE's. plus, they already draft Tyson jackson, and Glenn Dorsey. Are either Suh or McCoy able to play the 3-4 nose tackle? i doubt it. maybe Suh
Tennesseefan10s
01/30/10
yea, i've been in the process of updating it. thats why he was in there twice. also i'm working on taking out the players who returned to school. And if i got a dime for ever time somebody told me something that "will happen" in the draft.....nobody knows. i just go based off my ratings and what i think the teams will do, not what you the fan would do.
Tennesseefan10s
02/06/10
no they don't throw to the TE that much, but Belicheck never drafts RBs high either. And if McClain was no better than Takeo Spikes, why would he be a lock for the 1st round?
Tennesseefan10s
02/06/10
M2karateman, tahnks i guess? its a mock draft not the blueprints. The draft is so unpredictable that you can't just say that someone is wrong. and FWbrodie, you're right, but he is that much better than Charles brown. Yea, if they wanted an OT, they'd probably just trade down and take Charles Brown.
Tennesseefan10s
02/06/10
And thanks Detlions, at least someone likes my Mock draft. haha
Tikinola
12/09/09
lol i think you need to look back over this you have multiple prospects being taken twice multiple teams choosing twice that only have 1 first round pick and your analysis dosen't match up with some of the teams or prospects
MarkSp18
11/24/09
Travis Lewis would be a nice pick for the Vikings and he could replace Leber after next year. But then to have them taking another LB in round 2 is not going to happen especially when they are set at the LB position. Not a realistic selection.
det32
12/21/09
the ions taking a QB 2nd over all??? are you crazy??
det32
12/21/09
your drafted is wack dude dont want to sound rude but it would be easyer to fix to just delete it and start over.. ou have player going 2 or 3 times you have pick all out of wack
BritPat
11/24/09
Your second round isn't right - the Pats have the Jags and the Titans second rounders next year.
BritPat
11/24/09
And the Raiders have the Pats third rounder next year.
Baseballwiz727
11/24/09
So explain to me, how do the Browns go from a top 2nd round pick to a low 2nd rounder and there 2nd 3rd rounder is gone? Stay updated on who has what pick

12/23/09
Ya, there are some good picks on here if you can read the comment and get what team you meant for it to go to.
floridated
01/30/10
Awful draft for Patriots no way they don't draft defense in the first 2 rounds you have them taking offensive players. I think the Patriots will actually trade up with Jaxvill in first round so Jvill can take Tebow at 22 and Patriots end up with Jason Pierre Paul....Shannahan like to draft oline before a qback back to the run game...less passing less turnovers
ChiefsFan634
12/08/09
the Falcons 2nd round pick belongs to the Chiefs
chirpish
12/28/09
Bush may not be with the Saints next year.

12/08/09
how come you have the panthers with a 1st round pick? it should be the 9ers pick, and you have Mallet being picked with both 9ers 1st round pick.

01/04/10
at least 3 diff players are drafted twice in 1st round
SilentNiner

As good as Suh is, he cant be drafted twice.

12/22/09
why would miami get a rb in the 1st round
homestarunner93
12/24/09
Why would the Saints take Spiller when they have a pretty similar player in Reggie Bush?
CincyDude16
12/29/09
U gave out LaFell twice once to Cincy in the First then Seattle in the Second

Nice work. I enjoyed reading your mock.

01/05/10
I would love for Best to fall to the Lions in the second round. They would have plenty of options for stafford then with Calvin, Pettigrew, and Best.
Detlions
02/05/10
Love the mock draft being a Lions fan. That would make their defense move up atleast 4-5 spots compared to last year in terms of productivity. Being a Lions fan from Nashville i gotta give you your props and say your alright for a Titans fan lol.
michael12356
01/12/10
the chiefs wont selects berry at number 5 poli is a need over abilty player we saw that last year with jackson expect the chiefs to lock on to okung if he is still there

Jets will look to take best player , cb, s, de amd then wr
michaelgaulin
01/30/10
I like it for the Pats. We need offense in the draft and defense in free agency. There was a lack of speed on defense last year (draft helps with this) and missing experience on defense (FA accomplishes this).
michaelgaulin
01/30/10
I think that the Pats would take Spiller over Gresham - they don't throw to the tight end that much.
4thand18
01/18/10
glad to see you mention that Okung or Berry make more sens for the skins, i think it's a terrible idea to go for bradford, but so many people are picking him there... just put together an article that anybody who disagrees should look at!! http://4thand18.wordpress.com/2010/01/18/should-the-redskins-take-bradford/

Horrible. Where did you get your rankings from?

02/04/10
1st round is OK, but I think the 2nd and 3rd rounds still need some work.
gatorbeer
02/08/10
Didn't say McClain wouldn't go in the first round, but the 9ers come on. Secondary is a much bigger need along with O-Line help.
gatorbeer
02/05/10
McClain to the 9ers??? Spikes was a 2 down player who couldn't drop into coverage. McClain is no better bigger issues then ILB.
Jerry'sKid
01/31/10
Of all the players you could have given the 9ers at 13 McClain is the least likely.
